How to Use Google Ads and Meta Ads with QuoteKit to Get More Jobs

Running Google or Meta ads but not seeing enough bookings? The problem is usually what happens after the click. This guide shows you how to connect your ads directly to your QuoteKit widget so every visitor gets an instant price and you capture their details automatically.

The problem with most service business ads

You spend money on a Google or Meta ad. Someone clicks it. They land on your website. Then they see "call us for a quote" or a contact form and leave.

That is where the money goes. Not on the click, but on what happens after it.

When someone clicks an ad they are ready to act. They want a price, right now. If they cannot get one in the next 30 seconds, most of them will hit the back button and click a competitor instead.

QuoteKit fixes that. Here is how to set it up properly so your ad spend actually turns into jobs.

Step 1: Send ad traffic to your widget, not your homepage

Your homepage is built for browsing. Your widget is built for converting. Those are different things.

When you set up your Google or Meta ad, use your QuoteKit widget link as the destination URL, not your main website URL. Every visitor who clicks the ad lands directly on a page where they can get an instant price.

You can find your widget link inside your QuoteKit dashboard under the Embed section. It looks something like this:

https://quotekit.nexadesign.io/widget/your-widget-id

Paste that as the landing page URL in your ad campaign.

Step 2: Match your ad copy to what the widget does

If your ad says "get an instant quote" then the widget needs to deliver exactly that. Consistency between the ad and the landing experience is one of the biggest factors in conversion rate.

Some examples of ad copy that works well:

  • "Get an instant cleaning quote — takes 60 seconds"
  • "Courier quote in seconds — no call needed"
  • "Instant removal quote — see your price now"

Avoid vague headlines like "best cleaning service in London". Be specific about what clicking the ad gets them: an instant price.

Step 3: Set up Google Ads correctly

For Google Search ads, target keywords with clear buying intent. These are people who already know what they want and are looking for someone to do it.

Good keyword examples by industry:

  • Couriers: "same day courier London", "parcel delivery quote", "urgent courier near me"
  • Cleaning: "end of tenancy cleaning quote", "domestic cleaning prices", "house cleaner near me"
  • Removals: "removal company quote", "house removals cost", "man with van quote"
  • Gardening: "gardener near me prices", "lawn mowing quote", "garden maintenance cost"

Set your destination URL to your QuoteKit widget link. Turn on call extensions too, but make the widget the primary path.

In your ad extensions, add sitelinks like "See instant prices" and "How it works" to push people toward getting a quote rather than browsing.

Step 4: Set up Meta Ads correctly

Meta (Facebook and Instagram) works differently from Google. People are not searching for you — you are interrupting their scroll. So the creative needs to do more work.

What tends to work for service businesses on Meta:

  • Short video showing the widget in action — someone entering their details and getting a price in seconds
  • A before and after: "used to wait 2 days for a quote / now get one in 60 seconds"
  • A simple static image with a clear headline and your price range

Use the "Traffic" or "Leads" objective in Meta Ads Manager. Set the destination URL to your QuoteKit widget link.

Target by location first. If you are a London courier, target London. If you are a cleaning company covering Birmingham, target that area. Tight geography means your ad spend goes on people who can actually book you.

Step 5: Track what is working

Once someone submits a quote through your widget, their details appear in your QuoteKit dashboard immediately. You can see which leads came in on the same day you ran an ad and start to get a feel for which campaigns are bringing in real enquiries versus window shoppers.

For more detailed tracking, add UTM parameters to your widget URL. For example:

https://quotekit.nexadesign.io/widget/your-id?utm_source=google&utm_medium=cpc&utm_campaign=london-couriers

This lets you see in Google Analytics exactly which ad campaign each lead came from.

What to expect

Most service businesses that switch from sending ad traffic to a contact form to sending it to a QuoteKit widget see more leads from the same ad spend. The reason is simple: fewer steps between clicking the ad and getting a price means fewer people drop off.

A realistic expectation for the first month: if you were getting 10 leads per month from ads before, you should see that increase once the widget is in place. How much depends on your market, your prices, and your ad copy — but removing friction always helps.

Quick checklist before you launch

  • Widget is active and configured with your real pricing
  • Widget link is set as the ad destination URL
  • Ad copy mentions instant quotes or instant prices
  • Location targeting is set to your actual service area
  • You have checked the widget works on mobile (most ad clicks come from phones)
