2. What data we collect

Account data (QuoteKit users):

• Name, email address, company name, phone number
• Billing information (processed securely by Stripe — we do not store card details)
• Widget configuration settings

Lead data (your customers who use your widget):

• Name, email address, phone number (if provided)
• Pickup and delivery postcodes
• Quote details (distance, price, vehicle type, service type)

Usage data:

• Log data (IP address, browser type, pages visited)
• Cookies (see our Cookie Policy)

3. How we use your data

• To provide and operate the QuoteKit service
• To process payments via Stripe
• To send transactional emails (account confirmation, lead notifications) via Resend
• To respond to support requests
• To improve our service

We do not sell your data to third parties. We do not use your data for advertising.

4. Third-party services

We use the following third-party services to operate QuoteKit:

• Supabase — database and authentication (data stored in EU)
• Stripe — payment processing (Stripe Privacy Policy)
• Resend — transactional email delivery
• Google Maps API — distance calculation (postcode data sent to Google)

5. Data retention

We retain your account data for as long as your account is active. If you cancel your subscription and request account deletion, we will delete your data within 30 days, except where we are required to retain it for legal or financial compliance purposes (e.g. Stripe billing records).

Lead data is retained until you delete it from your dashboard, or until your account is deleted.

6. Your rights (GDPR)

Under UK GDPR, you have the right to:

• Access the personal data we hold about you
• Correct inaccurate data
• Request deletion of your data (“right to be forgotten”)
• Object to processing of your data
• Data portability

7. Security

We take reasonable technical and organisational measures to protect your data. All data is transmitted over HTTPS. Passwords are hashed and never stored in plain text. Payment data is handled entirely by Stripe and never touches our servers.

9. Changes to this policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of significant changes by email or by displaying a notice in the dashboard. Continued use of QuoteKit after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
