How to Manage Leads in Your QuoteKit Dashboard
Every quote submitted through your QuoteKit widget lands in your dashboard as a lead. This guide explains how to use the dashboard to manage your pipeline and never lose track of an enquiry.
Where your leads go
Every time a customer submits a quote through your widget, a lead is created in your QuoteKit dashboard. It includes their name, email address, phone number, the job details they entered and the price they were quoted. You also receive an instant email notification so you know the moment an enquiry comes in.
Lead status
Each lead has a status you can update as the job progresses:
- New - just submitted, not yet actioned
- Contacted - you have been in touch with the customer
- Booked - the job is confirmed
- Declined - the job did not go ahead
Updating status as you work through leads keeps your pipeline clear and helps you see at a glance what needs following up.
Recording the final price
Once a job is confirmed you can record the final agreed price against the lead. This is useful for tracking revenue and comparing against your quoted prices over time.
Searching and filtering
The leads dashboard has search and filter options so you can find specific jobs quickly. Search by name, email or phone number. Filter by status to see all leads at a particular stage in the pipeline.
Exporting to CSV
You can export your full lead history to CSV from the dashboard. This is useful for importing into a spreadsheet, accounting software or any other tool you use to manage your business. The export includes all job details, contact information, quoted prices and status.
Manual lead entry
If a job comes in by phone, WhatsApp or email rather than through your widget, you can add it manually in the dashboard. This keeps your full job history in one place regardless of how the enquiry originally came in.
The full picture: what QuoteKit does beyond the calculator
When a customer submits a quote through your widget, here is what happens automatically - none of it requires any action from you:
- Their name, email and phone are captured and stored securely
- You receive an instant email notification with the full job details
- The customer receives a professional confirmation email with their quote summary
- QuoteKit tracks whether that confirmation email reached their inbox - bounced or fake addresses are flagged automatically
- The lead appears in your dashboard where you can update status, add notes and record the final price
- If they requested a booking date, you confirm or decline with one click and they receive an automatic email either way
A basic calculator or free form does none of this. Your leads are captured, logged, tracked and managed from the moment the customer submits their details to the moment the job is complete. That is the difference between a quoting tool and a quoting system.
